Our distributor in Malaysia, Scantech Solutions Sdn Bhd, participated in M-PLAS from November 4th to November 7th, 2009 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.
The following is a post show report from Adrian Leong, Sales Director at Scantech Solutions Sdn Bhd:
“The visitor turnout for M-Plas was better than we expected and most importantly, we received inquiries from potential customers that we did not know before who are very interested in Scantech's products.
Our participation in M-Plas was very fruitful and we can consider it a big success, both in terms of introducing the Scantech brand to this region and getting many inquiries for the products which we hope will later translate into sales orders.
The target for next year is to participate in three major exhibitions in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, hopefully with a demo system in hand.”

Plastics professionals from nearly 19,000 companies from 101 countries came to NPE2009 to discover innovations, make connections, plan purchasing, and often enough, according to some exhibitors to close deals on the spot.
According to the President of SPI (Society of Plastics Industry), the association which produces the triennial NPE, attendee delegations were smaller than in 2006 due to the current economic climate and travel reductions caused by concerns about the H1N1 pandemic; but the company representatives that did go to NPE2009 were typically significant players with real purchasing power.
Scantech had plenty of leads which will turn into future sales. We have several customers interested in testing the NPE show scanner.

Chinaplas 2009 was well attended, despite the global economic crisis, by 11 country pavilions, 1,840 exhibitors and approximately 70,000 buyers from all around the world.
According to the Chairman of Adsale (the show organizer), the government policies boosted domestic demand for materials and machines. At the fairground, many enterprises are looking for new equipment to enhance their productivity and sharpen their competitiveness, so as to prepare for the economic recovery. "
